Reckless Love

I was listening to Cory Asbury’s Reckless Love (a great song by the way), and the Holy Spirit quickly reminded me of how much God loves me, and you. His kind of love cannot be found in human beings; His love forgives and forgets, His love gives without asking that we give anything in return except our obedience to Him, His love is slow to anger, His love is unconditional, it is loyal, it never fails even when we do fail, more faithful than the rising of the sun, His love blesses and does not curse, it is simply an amazing and indescribable love. No matter how earthly parents love, their love can never equal the love of the Father, He is slow to anger and abounding in love. He is ever ready to take back those who leave Him, provided they return to Him.

How can anyone not want to bask in this selfless love? When people give, they expect something in return for their gifts,Our Heavenly Father gives, and gives, and gives again, and again and again! That is His nature, He Himself is Love, so it is His character to love and because He loves so much, He cannot stop giving. He gave His Son, He gave His Spirit to dwell in us, He gives us mercy, grace, peace, wisdom, understanding, riches, both spiritual and physical.

Today, I just worship my father with written words instead of my spoken words, He sees my heart. Listen, it is okay to write Him a love letter like I am doing right now. The most important thing is your heart and He sees right into it, even the deepest and innermost parts.

Even in a thousand years, we will never be able to figure out why He has chosen to love us he way He does. His love has no expiration date, it is from everlasting to everlasting.

In earthly relationships, sometimes people change their mind about someone, just because of what a friend told them, Jesus’ mind concerning his children cannot be changed. No one can make Him change His mind about His love for us. The word of God says But “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Today, I invite you to ponder on the Father’s great love, and just worship Him, give Him praise for His unconditional and everlasting love.

Stay Blessed.
